What Perch collects

Nothing. Perch has no account system, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and makes no network requests involving your content. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing to share: no data is disclosed to third parties for any purpose.

Your photos and videos

Everything Perch captures stays in a private area on your device until you choose to save it to your photo library. Person detection (the smart shutter) runs entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework — camera frames are processed in memory and never leave your phone. Deleting a session permanently removes its files from the device.

Permissions Perch asks for

Camera — to take your photos and clips. Microphone — only if you record B-Roll video with audio; declining simply records silent clips. Photo library (add-only) — to save the keepers you choose. Perch requests add-only access and cannot read your existing photos.

Data retention and deletion

All of your data lives only on your device, so you are always in control of it. Delete a photo session inside Perch and its files are permanently removed from the device. Delete the app and everything Perch ever stored goes with it. There is no server-side copy to request, export, or ask us to erase — and no consent to revoke, because none was ever needed.

Purchases

The lifetime unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. Perch receives only Apple's confirmation that the purchase is valid — never your payment details.

Children's privacy

Perch does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since nothing is collected, no data about children (or anyone else) is ever gathered, stored, or shared.

This site is a static page. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
